{"id":613,"date":"2024-06-24T14:50:38","date_gmt":"2024-06-24T14:50:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipfray.com\/?p=613"},"modified":"2024-06-24T14:51:12","modified_gmt":"2024-06-24T14:51:12","slug":"upc-announces-8-new-technically-qualified-judges-resignation-of-one-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipfray.com\/staging1\/upc-announces-8-new-technically-qualified-judges-resignation-of-one-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"UPC announces eight new technically qualified judges, resignation of one: overview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-width:1px\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Context:<\/strong> Thus far, the Unified Patent Court (UPC) has appointed many judges but has had only one resignation to report (<a href=\"https:\/\/ipfray.com\/upc-court-of-appeal-appoints-pinsent-masons-partner-as-judge-starting-september-will-leave-his-firm-and-replace-judge-francoise-barutel\/\">May 31, 2024 <strong>ip fray<\/strong> article<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What&#8217;s new:<\/strong> Today the UPC announced that eight new technically qualified judges (TQJs) have been appointed (<a href=\"https:\/\/unified-patent-court.org\/en\/news\/unified-patent-court-appoints-new-technically-qualified-judges\">June 24, 2024 UPC press release<\/a>). Six of them are Germans. They have yet to be sworn in.
