Nokia today announced that it has struck several deals with several unnamed Chinese TV makers.
In a blog post today, the Head of Nokia’s Consumer Electronics licensing program, Philippe Lanet, said the agreements cover the use of Nokia’s technologies in their video-enabled devices (September 1, 2026 Nokia blog post). He also referred to the deals the company made with Samsung (January 15, 2025 ip fray article) and Hisense (January 8, 2026 ip fray article), reiterating Nokia’s determination to conclude agreements with the remaining unlicensed TV and PC makers.
