Dolby attacks six InterDigital patents in U.S. court to protect its customers Amazon, Disney, TCL, Hisense

Context:

• InterDigital is presently enforcing video streaming patents against Amazon (February 27, 2026 ip fray article), Disney (where the cancelation of a Munich trial may or may not be related to progress toward a settlement: February 25, 2026 ip fray article), and TV makers Hisense and TCL (February 10, 2026 ip fray article).
• Dolby has recently brought a petition for inter partes review against an InterDigital patent with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) (February 10, 2026 ip fray article). The challenged patent is  United States Patent No. 9,185,268 (“Methods and systems for displays with chromatic correction with differing chromatic ranges”). InterDigital had asserted it against Disney.
