American Express prevails as plaintiff’s second amended complaint dismissed with prejudice: “No basis to reach a different result”

Context: In May 2023, Loyal-T Systems LLC filed complaint in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, accusing American Express Company (Amex) of infringing patents covering management of customer loyalty programs. In October 2024 Amex successfully moved for the case to be transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
