Context: Valtrus Innovations Ltd is an affiliate of patent assertion entity (PAE) Key Patent Innovations. Since filing its maiden infringement complaint against Google in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas in January 2022, Valtrus has engaged in a broad litigation campaign asserting patents originally assigned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).
