  • Samsung is pursuing “scattershot” FRAND (fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory licensing) and antitrust claims in multiple jurisdictions against ZTE (March 3, 2025 ip fray article):
  • Other litigants still tend to focus on a single venue, but Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is the next Samsung:
    • Its Brazilian declaratory judgment (DJ) action was practically defeated by Nokia winning the race to the courthouse, even if only by 66 seconds (November 2, 2025 ip fray article).
    • In the UK, WBD obtained an antisuit injunction against Nokia (December 1, 2025 ip fray article).
    • And it turns out WBD still wasn’t done raising such claims against Nokia:
