OxFora’s 14th Intellectual Property and Competition Forum less than one week away (23, 24 June)

The OxFora 14th Intellectual Property and Competition Forum, this year entitled “The Global Chess Game: International Patent Strategy in a Fragmented World”, is to take place in the DPMA Forum in Munich (as well as online) on June 23 and 24, 2026.

The topics covered will include injunctions and how they reshape bargaining power and global licensing dynamics, how ASIs and interim licences have become tactical tools, long-arm jurisdiction in patent disputes after BSH Hausgeräte v. Electrolux, Licensing Negotiation Groups, as well as how China is influencing the global patent licensing and litigation stage.

ip fray has covered OxFirst events before, including last month, when Judge Victor Torres of the Rio de Janeiro State Court said that Brazil should not be the underdog and that he would be prepared to engage with judges from other jurisdictions about criteria for antisuit injunctions and similar cross-border instruments (May 13, 2026 ip fray article).
