BREAKING: Heath Hoglund, who left Via last month, joins Sisvel as Chief IP Officer

Context: Shortly before the turn of the year, Via Licensing Alliance announced two major changes:

1. Via’s High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC, H.265) and Versatile Video Coding (VVC, H.266) pools (both for devices and for streaming purposes) were acquired by Access Advance. Various of the licensors of MPEG LA’s pools had already joined Advance over the years, prior to Via’s acquisition of MPEG LA.
2.  Kevin Mack succeeded Heath Hoglund as President.
